Modern software systems routinely collect, process, and store highly sensitive personal data, including identity, financial, family, and location information. This course equips developers at Pellucid Technology with the practical knowledge and technical mindset required to design, build, and maintain privacy-aware, secure, and compliant systems.
The course focuses on developer responsibilities, not legal theory. Learners will explore how engineering decisions—such as database design, API development, logging, cloud deployment, and incident response—directly impact compliance with global data protection principles and Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Through real-world examples, applied scenarios, and assessments, developers will learn how to implement Privacy by Design, practice data minimization, protect sensitive personal data, manage cross-border data risks, and respond appropriately to data incidents and breaches.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to confidently build systems that respect user privacy, reduce legal and security risks, and meet both international privacy expectations and local regulatory obligations.
